PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Design, plans preparation, and permitting for new construction of approximately 1/2 mile of a 4-lane urban highway and 1.5 miles of a 5-lane urban arterial that included a five span bridge over Florida's Turnpike. The project required preparation of bridge plans and proprietary walls, drainage design, and permitting that included wetland mitigation, preparation of right-of-way plans and legal descriptions, and signing & pavement marking plans. The project required close coordination with Florida's Turnpike, particularly in the preparation of maintenance of traffic plans along the Turnpike which was required for the phase construction of the bridge structure. This was accomplished through the use of rolling barricades.
