Today is National Intern Day, and Metric Engineering celebrates the enthusiasm and fresh perspectives that our interns bring to their roles. Our internships are designed to help students build the skills and confidence needed to launch successful careers. The contributions of our interns help strengthen our teams while providing hands-on, real-world experience to the next generation of engineering professionals.
Chancellor Haber
Mechanical Engineering
Chancellor is a student in the University of Central Florida’s mechanical engineering department. He joined the Metric team in May and will wrap up his internship at the end of July. About his internship, Chancellor says his favorite part has been the culture at Metric because everyone is friendly and willing to help. His internship has allowed him to see how his academics translate to actual jobs sites, giving him a better understanding of the planning, coordination, and problem-solving that goes into every project. Outside of his internship, Chancellor has been taking summer classes, going to the golf range, and spending time with his new puppy.
Sloan Wehe
Civil Engineering
Sloan is a student in Texas A&M University’s civil engineering department. He joined the Metric team in May and will wrap up his internship at the beginning of August. He was encouraged by his former boss to apply for the opportunity. His favorite aspect of his internship has been working on a variety of projects, which keeps him learning and expanding his skillset. Outside of his internship, Sloan enjoys going to the gym, watching sports like the World Cup or NBA Finals, and playing golf with his dad.
