Metric’s roadway design staff have a significant amount of roadway and intersection design experience, particularly in the areas of Resurfacing, Restoration, and Rehabilitation (RRR), Complete Streets, interchange design, lane reductions, and intersection improvements. Our technical staff have a thorough understanding of the key elements required to create reliable, efficient, and safe roads for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists.
Metric has successfully completed many large complex transportation projects, as well as over 90 Districtwide/Continuing Services/Task Work Order based contracts, with a focus on offering the best services and solutions to the clients and communities we serve. To date, Metric has planned, designed, and managed more than $1B in roadway design work and $2.5B in traditional roadway Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) projects, including work for the Florida Department of Transportation, as well as numerous cities, counties, and municipalities across the Southeast U.S.
Our hands-on engineers possess the technical expertise to develop typical sections, cross sections, and profiles utilizing industry-standard programs and all current manuals and guidelines for roadway design. By combining emerging technology with the industry’s leading engineers, we are able to focus on the intricacies involved which each project as we strive to preserve, develop, and improve our roadway infrastructure through increased capacity, decreased congestion, and greater mobility.
Our proactive roadway design approach allows us to tackle evolving issues such as population growth, a fragile ecosystem, and a growing demand for new and improved transportation facilities. We are experienced in all phases of roadway design, from the initial planning/Project Development and Environmental Studies phase to the civil/roadway design phase, and then onto the construction phase, where we have an array of experience providing CEI.
