This Design-Build Project is a System-to-System Interchange connecting SR
429, I-4, and SR 417. It includes construction of 2.6 miles of the SR 429 limited-access toll road which is the final segment of the Wekiva Parkway and widening and reconstruction of 2 miles of I-4 to accommodate the future I-4 Beyond the Ultimate (BtU) Project. The project involves 22 new bridges (including third level flyovers); toll gantry spanning the NB and SB travel lanes, expanding the SR 417 at the International Parkway to a full interchange. Key features include: 12 new multi-span and 8 new single-span bridges; widening 2 existing bridges; over 100 MSE Walls having a total length of nearly 9 miles; over 108,000 LF of drainage pipe and more than 600 drainage structures as part of the stormwater management and floodplain compensation (FPC) systems; 4-million plus CY of earthwork including nearly 2-million CY of import fill requirements; 3.6 miles of sound wall; highway and high mast lighting; new ITS components throughout the project limits; over 700 sign structures; provisions for landscaping; demolition of existing bridges; and pavement markings.
