This project involves the design for the 4-laning of CR 510, from east of 86th Avenue to east of 58th Avenue, in Indian River County, Florida.  The existing corridor will be reconstructed by raising the vertical profile of the two bridges requiring replacement (Bridge 880063 over lateral C canal and Bridge 880044 over lateral L canal and the existing culvert over the South Prong Preserve Slough.) This high-profile project includes two distinct roadway typical sections within this segment: a suburban typical and an urban typical.  The project also requires the design of a two-lane roundabout at 66th Avenue; signalized intersections at 82nd Avenue, Powerline Road, and 58th Avenue; as well as buffered bike lanes.  CR 510 currently serves as the main artery in northern Indian River County connecting I-95 to US 1 and A1A. Upon the completion of a PD&E Study, also prepared by Metric, we were awarded the design services for this roadway though a new procurement selection.
