Connected Vehicles (CV) Readiness Study & Implementation Plan

As a Task Work Order under Metric’s FTE DW Continuing Services ITS Consultant contract, Metric was tasked to conduct a Connected/Autonomous Vehicle (CAV)
Readiness assessment for the FTE under Metric’s DW Continuing Services ITS Consultant contract. With the FTE’s interest in deploying CAV technology on its roadway infrastructure, they have requested the assistance of the Metric staff to help them to prepare for the future of CAV deployments. As a part of this task, the Metric staff will research and document the current state of CAV technology within the industry and will conduct various internal hardware, software, and staffing assessments as it pertains to the readiness of FTE to deploy CAV technology. All these tasks will aid in the development of a short and long-term CAV Implementation Plan for FTE. Metric is working with FTE on the identification of key stakeholders and will interview and work with the various agencies to identify and document current initiatives, lessons learned, use cases, expected benefits, and more. This assessment will be conducted at a national and statewide level.
