The Metric ITS CEI team was chosen for Broward County Continuing Engineering Services for Traffic, Roadway and Civil Engineering Services from 2020 to 2025.
We provide services for the design, plan preparation, implementation, and construction engineering and inspection of various types of construction improvement projects that fall under an estimated construction cost of two million dollars.
Work on the contract includes traffic signalization, intersection improvements for new mast arm supported traffic signals, traffic signal conversions from span-wire to structural mast arms, and improvements involving ATMS, ITS, vehicle detection camera systems and Complete Streets. Other services include traffic signal engineering and communications system technology improvements including installation of fiber optic, Ethernet-over-copper, and cellular equipment and infrastructure.
The Metric Roadway team supports this effort by servicing roadway improvements including widening, pavement, pedestrian facilities, bicycle facilities, drainage, water and sewer, lighting, and more. Metric also provides miscellaneous civil engineering, design and related services, as well as Broward County in-house consultant support services.
